My Glasgow Kitchen

My Little Corner of the World

Quinoa was one of my protein substitutes when I was in Glasgow. I use it in salads, mix it with rice or with rice flour in my Chinese Dishes.

I was trying to finish up my close to expiry quinoa that I had shipped back from Glasgow a year ago and came across this recipe. I didn’t use the exact quantity

I used: quinoa, soaked chia seed for half an hour, 1/4 tsp of baking soda, pinch of salt, few tablespoon of oil

1. Soak quinoa overnight

2. Soak chia seeds for 15 minutes

3. Use food processor to grind quinoa, chia seeds, oil and salt

4. Bake for 1 and a half hours

5. Cool for half an hour

6. Eat it plain or with a spread
